Our Caregiver Development Program (CDP) offers paid, hands-on training to prepare you for success and confidence in the field.

Next Paid Training Class

February 16, 2026 – February 20, 2026
Serving Albuquerque and surrounding communities

Training Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break each day.

This is a full-week, hands-on training program led by an extremely experienced caregiver who is available throughout the week to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure you feel fully prepared before working with clients.


Availability Requirements

  • Must be available to work between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week


Training Program Overview

During this instructor-led training, you will learn:

  • HIPAA compliance

  • Duties and expectations of a caregiver

  • Cooking and meal preparation

  • Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation (ANE) awareness

  • Advance directives

  • Skills lab and hands-on practice

  • Fall prevention techniques

  • Shadowing an experienced caregiver

  • And more

Job Responsibilities

Caregivers provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors, including:

  • Personal care (bathing, hygiene, grooming, toileting)

  • Meal preparation and special diets

  • Mobility assistance and transfers

  • Light housekeeping, errands, and transportation

  • Companionship and emotional support


Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Reliable vehicle with valid insurance and registration

  • Strong communication skills

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

  • Physical ability to assist with transfers up to 150 lbs. using assistive devices
